Is reddit hot or cold? It is hot, because it has the word 'red' in it. This makes sense because things usually turn to a reddish color when their inner temperature rises. For example, metal and glass tend to turn red in hotter climates. However, I do agree that there are some objects which do not turn red at high temperatures, such as plastic, which can melt. Nonetheless, humans have innately associated red with hot since it can prevent harm from touching a hot metal at even an early age.
